When the client hired FORMA for the addition of a private V.I.P. dining room for Paolo’s Restaurant in Reston, the mandate was to the point - ”I want a sexy room”. The challenge was wrapping a catering kitchen, bar, access to the existing kitchen and seating a maximum number of guests around the new space and making it all work. The V.I.P. room extension seats approximately 50 guests in flexible configurations and features a bar and AV capabilities for lunch presentations or to set the party mood. The avant-guard design succeeds in creating a moody and sophisticated environment that has been a big hit for the restaurant since day one.

This Project was awarded the 2010 Bronze Award for Hospitality Design by the International Interior Design Association's (IIDA) Mid-Atlantic Chapter.
