FORMA Design was established in 1994. From the beginning, we set out to carve a niche of our own, offering Integrated Design solutions to potential clients who need or value such an offering. Being by training Architects and Designers, we decided to focus our expertise in both Residential and Commercial Interior Architecture and Design, and their sister disciplines.

FORMA Design is dedicated to the "art of design", providing bespoke solutions that grow from working with the client as a partner in the design process. Each project commission is a unique opportunity and we strive for an equally unique and appropriate response to the design challenges (conceptual, physical and fiscal). Our work and vision-driven design are not about "styles" or "trends", but about developing architecture and design that becomes the sculptural and material expression of the client and their message. Through our collaborative design process we work with the client to define and clarify the "big idea" and build successful integrated solutions around this clear concept. Our projects are not compartmentalized but work to brand the project on all levels to implement a consistent vision and message across architecture, interiors and graphics. We understand that a design commission is more than a "project", it is your home or business. We are partners with our clients in this important first step in defining their vision. Our client's success is our success. To that end all projects have principal involvement. Work is not handed off to junior staff to implement. Information is not lost in the translation from one level to the next but heard, understood and implemented consistently and powerfully. Being a small firm allows us to give individualized attention to our clients. We work closely with each client to develop a strong vision across architecture interiors and graphics and work together to refine and bring that vision to reality.

We have been fortunate enough through the years to have been recognized with Local, Regional and National awards, from the American Institute of Architects, the International Interior Design Association, back to back National Healthcare Awards, publications in Local, National and International publications and repeat exposure on national TV ( HGTV, Fine Living Network).

Andreas Charalambous, AIA, Principal
 
Andreas was born in London, UK of Greek/Cypriot parents, and grew up on the Mediterranean island of Cyprus. He studied Architecture at Cornell University, under a Fulbright scholarship. He worked in Washington, New York and London with previous employers, before co-founding FORMA Design in 1994.
 
He brings to FORMA Design a strong and diverse background in the design of healthcare, commercial, office and retail spaces, single and multi family dwellings, stage set design, product design and graphics. He also pursues a career in the fine arts and has had several group and solo shows featuring his painting and photography.
